May 2015 enewsletter – Voice of Triumph

Jesus conquered even death—the weapon formed to overthrow you

God sent his own representatives with the breaking news that Jesus had risen from the dead, just as he said. The angels asked, “Why seek ye the living among the dead?” Luke 24:5. The huge boulder that once blocked the tomb’s entrance was rolled away. The grave clothes that bound him were left there. Death lost its power to hold Jesus. Oh death, where is your sting? Oh grave, where is your victory? “God will bring down their strongest walls, their impenetrable defenses, and grind them to the ground until they are only dust,” Psalm 25: 12, The Voice. God took something that appears so final to man and supernaturally changed its disposition to live and never die again. God proved he always has the final word. Corruption put on incorruption. Mortal put on immorality. The power of Holy Spirit replaces everything subject to death with eternal life; the same power that resurrected Jesus resurrects anything dead, dying, decayed, or destroyed in your life. Romans 8:9-11, The Message seals this image of God’s most honorable intention toward you. “But if God himself has taken up residence in your life, you can hardly be thinking more of yourself than of him. Anyone, of course, who has not welcomed this invisible but clearly present God, the Spirit of Christ, won’t know what we’re talking about. But for you who welcome him, in whom he dwells—even though you still experience all the limitations of sin—you yourself experience life on God’s terms. It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s!” Jesus took the death out of life on earth. Resurrection!

April 2015 enewsletter – Voice of Triumph

Mysteries from the Mountain of the Lord brings Heaven to Earth  Isaiah foretells of the kingdom of God’s secrets. “…There’s a day coming when the mountain of God’s house will be the mountain—solid, towering over all mountains. All nations will river toward it, people from all over set out for it. They’ll say, “Come, let’s climb God’s mountain, go to the house of the God of Jacob. He’ll show us the way he works so we can live the way we’re made,” Isaiah 2:1-2, The Message. Embracing revealed knowledge, Jesus sought God. “And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him,” Matthew 17:1-3. “And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead,” Matthew 17:9. Isaiah casts a vision of the glorious altitude for us. “They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord,” Isaiah 65: 22-25. Psalm 143:8 creates an atmosphere to receive from above. “Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust; cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.” Covenant secrets are shown as we honor God. first.

March 2015 enewsletter – Voice of Triumph

No permission needed: The enemy you see today, you will see no more

Let’s explore three levels of love in the Greek language. The diversity of relationship we have with others determine the blend we experience. Agapaō is having care and concern relationally or ethically. It is the foundation from which the others spring. God loved the world, (John 3:16); love between God, Jesus and you, (John 14:21); love neighbors as yourself, (Mark 12:31); husbands love wives, (Eph. 5:25); love your enemies, (Matthew 5:44). Agapē shows affection or benevolence associated with I Corinthians 13th chapter. Agapētŏs is being the beloved, i.e., one dear to the heart. God’s gratified with Jesus (Luke 3:22) and when God’s love is perfected in us, it abides in us with increased maturity (I John 4:12).

January 2015 enewsletter – Voice of Triumph

The Promise: Emptiness is Nonexistent in the Kingdom of God

Isaiah 55:10-11 imparts an image of the kingdom of God on earth operating just like heaven functions. God’s vows to us are based on the strength of his own Word; it never returns to him unfulfilled. “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” As we receive his promise as the incorruptible seed that lives and abides forever, all doubt, fear, and/or unbelief are dug out. Then room is made for our breakthrough faith; it makes demands on the harvest, no matter if we are a producer and/or a consumer. God’s word—settled in heaven—is the holy seed that impregnates any breach. How much of God’s word will you contain to ensure blight cannot rule in your world?

December enewsletter – Voice of Triumph

The reality of Just-in-time faith is a heaven-born possibility                   God works both decently and orderly. Psalm 74:12, “For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.” In Hebrew, working is defined as systematically and habitually. In sequence, the Lord’s operations exhibits: order; balance; wholeness, fullness; then overflow. However, when something is missing, lacking, or broken, the Lord works with your faith to confirm his word; in the end, miraculous signs will manifest. Expect heaven to accommodate your request. Business and industry adopt a just-in-time process that sanctions supplies to be only available as needed. This same practice was used when they ran out of wine at the Cana wedding in John 2:1-10. Referencing Hebrew 11:13 below, you will see how Mary postured her faith to receive her miracle. She was not seeking wine, but literally accessing heaven’s storehouse. “Set your heart on the kingdom and his goodness, and all these things will come to you as a matter of course.” Matthew 6:33, (Phillips)

November enewsletter – Voice of Triumph

Breakthrough is contingent upon whose mantle you wearJudges chapters 6-8 details how to conquer fear. Gideon was so intimidated about the perpetual enemy attacks he literally hid. But when the Holy Spirit clothed Gideon—like a hand inside a glove—he conquered fear. The overwhelming victory is cited in Isaiah 9:3-4, The Amplified. “You [O Lord] have multiplied the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before You like the joy in harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil [of battle]. For the yoke of [Israel’s] burden, and the staff or rod for [goading] their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor, You have broken as in the day of [Gideon with] Midian.” Gideon not only took the heads of the princes, but also the kings’, annihilating oppression. Destruction comes to a perpetual end when you smeared all over with impenetrable oil of Holy Spirit.

October enewsletter – Voice of Triumph

Follow Jesus’ example of empowering the kingdom of god only Matthew 4:1, “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.” Fasting 40 days left Jesus hungry, but he focused on what was far greater: the fight for our eternal salvation, not the fight with satan. Jesus lived I Corinthians 10:12-13 as his testimony, “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” Empowered by Holy Spirit, Jesus gave God the right of way to choose the best for him even under pressure. I believe Jesus indelibly imaged Isaiah 53:11, “He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.”He was the only qualified candidate to finish that assignment. I Peter 2:20-23 illustrates Jesus’ agape love. “For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:” In one accord with God, Jesus never empowered the wrong kingdom to overrule him, i.e., satan’s empire. Overcoming temptation was a temporary inconvenience for a permanent improvement, our redemption. Never lose that ground!

September enewsletter – Voice of Triumph

By faith Rahab initiated a vow that gave her god’s honor and glory Joshua 2nd chapter illustrates the strength of a vow. Rahab the prostitute knew Jericho was going to be destroyed. She knew the same God who dried up the Red Sea would also defend Israel against Jericho. Rahab hid Israel’s two spies on her own, without even having a covenant with them. When the king of Jericho’s men questioned Rahab, she sent them on a wild goose chase to save the spies’ lives. Armed with proof that a covenant with Israel was in order, she approached the spies to exchange vows. In other words, I spared your life, now spare me and my father’s house; give me a “true token” which it the evidence you will keep your word. Rahab swore to remain silent about the spies’ mission and they in turn swore to spare her and her family’s life and give them favor. The token was to bind the scarlet cord in her window so when Israel invaded the land, the contract on her life was cancelled. Her successful appeal removed her name from death row. Everything subject to death was replaced with eternal life. Rahab was not only spared, but honored for her faith in the “Heroes Hall of Faith” in Hebrews 11:31 as well as favored to be in the lineage of Jesus Christ as Boaz’s mother in Matthew 1:5. Rehab had evidence at her disposal to receive abundant life, but so do we. The blood of Jesus Christ is the miracle that supernaturally disannuls any covenant with premature death. Psalms 103:2-5 pledges God to forgive all our iniquities, heal all our diseases, crown us with loving kindness and tender mercies, redeem our lives from destruction and satisfy our mouths with good things [words] so our youth is renewed like the eagles [strong, soaring, and overcoming, The Amplified]. Learn to always trust in Jesus’ Blood!

August 2014 enewsletter – Voice of Triumph

Release the Fragrance that has been Locked Up                                        Mary of Bethany broke open her alabaster box to anoint Jesus. She took the opportunity to give her greatest love offering, outclassing all the others who surrounded him. Uninvited, but unstoppable, she was bold and courageous to worship him in the midst of others who: withheld what they should have given; earmarked her giving as wasteful instead of extravagant; desired to misappropriate her gift once it was in their hands; or discredited her because she was publicly known for her unbecoming lifestyle. Jesus not only acknowledged her gift to prepare him for burial, but he also appreciated her as valuable, acceptable, desirable, and purposeful in the presence of her enemies. Jesus publicly defended and honored her by extending acceptance and approval beyond her life span for her reasonable service i.e., worship. Passionately, she went through the open door to release the fragrance of her worship that filled the heart of Jesus. When she did, he could not ignore her offering as well as her opposition. Jesus responded, “Let her alone. Why trouble ye her? She hath wrought a good work for me, …wherever the gospel is preached, what she hath done shall be spoken of, for a memorial of her,” Mark 14:6, 9. Read Matthew 26:6-13; Luke 7:36-50; John 12:1-8. Validated by Jesus, the fragrance of your worship flows unhindered to activate your promotion.
