If you ever think no one is on your side. Remember these scriptures from the Living Bible to confirm God as your rampart to deliver you by the Sword of His Spirit. “Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who tries a better life is soon attacked. The Lord saw all the evil and was displeased to find no steps taken against sin. He saw no one was helping you and wondered that no one intervened. Therefore he himself stepped in to save you through his mighty power and justice. He put on righteousness as armor and the helmet of salvation on his head. He clothed himself with robes of vengeance and of godly fury. He will repay his enemies for their evil deeds—fury for his foes in distant lands. Then at last they will reverence and glorify the name of God from west to east. For he will come like a flood tide driven by Jehovah’s breath. He will come as a Redeemer to those in Zion who have turned away from sin. “As for me, this is my promise to them,” says the Lord: “My Holy Spirit shall not leave them, and they shall want the good and hate the wrong—they and their children and their children’s children forever,” Isaiah 59:15-21. “You will live under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away; you will live in peace. Terror shall not come near. If any nation comes to fight you, it will not be sent by me to punish you. Therefore, it will be routed, for I am on your side. I have created the smith who blows the coals beneath the forge and makes the weapons of destruction. And I have created the armies that destroy. But in that coming day, no weapon turned against you shall succeed, and you will have justice against every courtroom lie. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. This is the blessing I have given you, says the Lord,”  Isaiah 54:14-17. Draw your Sword!

esther’s approach to reclaim god’s people                 The book of Esther is about a young lady who discovered her place in the kingdom of God. She served as the deliverer for the Jews. Haman, their arch enemy, falsely accused them of revolting against the king so a law was enacted to exterminate them. I believe II Peter 1:5-8 shapes the character Esther possessed to fulfill that challenge. “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” In Greek, add means fully supplies; faith means persuasion; virtue means valor; knowledge means knowing; temperance means mastery; patience means endurance; godliness means holiness; brotherly kindness means fraternal affection; and charity means benevolence. When you overlay this scripture text over Esther’s story, it looks like this. Chosen queen, she had the assurance of the miraculous deliverance of God’s people by her hand. Her courage accepted full responsibility to make the appeal without shrinking back in fear. Her knowing showed her election was indeed born of God which gave her bravery to approach the king, even though she could have been put to death. She entered the king’s presence without a formal invitation several times which validated her level of mastery. She overcame the fear of death when her wisdom presented the perfect time to make her appeal for her and her people to be spared. The integrity of her heart kept seeing no one higher than God, not even the king—her husband—who endorsed their execution unknowingly. She continued to display her selflessness so she was never proven disloyal. Her true desire to overthrow injustice was accompanied by her love to see God’s people set totally free.
