ALWAYS BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND
Jesus always looked beyond the Crucifixion. “Since we have such a huge crowd of men of faith watching us from the grandstands, let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back, and especially those sins that wrap themselves so tightly around our feet and trip us up; and let us run with patience the particular race that God has set before us. Keep your eyes on Jesus, our leader and instructor. He was willing to die a shameful death on the cross because of the joy He knew would be His afterwards; and now He sits in the place of honor by the throne of God. If you want to keep from becoming fainthearted and weary, think about His patience as sinful men did such terrible things to Him,” Hebrews 12:1-3 (TLB). God revealed Jesus’ total satisfaction: “He was buried like a criminal, but in a rich man’s grave; but He had done no wrong and had never spoken an evil word. But it was the Lord’s good plan to bruise Him and fill Him with grief. However, when His soul has been made an offering for sin, then He shall have a multitude of children, many heirs. He shall live again, and God’s program shall prosper in His hands. And when He sees all that is accomplished by the anguish of His soul, He shall be satisfied; and because of what He has experienced, My righteous Servant shall make many to be counted righteous before God, for He shall bear all their sins,” Isaiah 53:9-11 (TLB). Your approach in receiving indescribable joy that is full of glory: “Dear friends, don’t be bewildered or surprised when you go through the fiery trials ahead, for this is no strange, unusual thing that is going to happen to you. Instead, be really glad—because these trials will make you partners with Christ in His suffering, and afterwards you will have the wonderful joy of sharing His glory in that coming day when it will be displayed.Be happy if you are cursed and insulted for being a Christian, for when that happens the Spirit of God will come upon you with great glory,” 1 Peter 4:12-14 (TLB). Here is your everlasting, exceeding joy to always expect: “See, God has come to save me! I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord is my strength and song; He is my salvation. Oh, the joy of drinking deeply from the Fountain of Salvation!” Isaiah 12:2-3 (TLB). Let nothing move you to believe otherwise.
