He left what he had always known to worship God alone, the God who always existed but he never owned as \u201cMy God.\u201d The Lord promised Abram that in him shall all the families of the earth be blessed. \u201cAnd if ye be Christ&#8217;s, then are ye Abraham&#8217;s seed, and heirs according to the promise,\u201d Gal. 3:29 KJV. The finished work of Christ reconciled us to God as members of His family, including you! \u201cThe Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together,\u201d Rom. 8:16-17. \u201cAnd Abram very rich in cattle, and in silver and in gold,\u201d Gen. 13:12.
