{"id":1243,"date":"2016-05-31T20:19:45","date_gmt":"2016-05-31T20:19:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.kingsportionlive.com\/?p=1243"},"modified":"2019-02-09T00:21:55","modified_gmt":"2019-02-09T00:21:55","slug":"may-2016-voice-of-triumph-enewsletter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.kingsportionlive.com\/?p=1243","title":{"rendered":"May 2016 Voice of Triumph enewsletter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Activation of the Love Assignment \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In Greek, God\u2019s love to us <i>agap<\/i><i>\u0113<\/i> is love or charity; affection or benevolence; our love to others is <i>agapa\u014d <\/i>having its root in <i>agap<\/i><i>\u0113<\/i>; to love (in a social or moral sense). In Mark 12:28-31, Jesus was asked which commandment was the greatest of all. \u2018Jesus said, \u201cThe first in importance is, \u2018Listen, Israel: The Lord your God is one; so love the Lord God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence and energy.\u2019 And here is the second: \u2018Love others as well as you love yourself.\u2019 There is no other commandment that ranks with these.\u201d Mark 12:28-31, (MSG). Those two commandments are crystallized by three assignments found in Exodus 20:1-17 (NIV) The Ten Commandments. Commandments #1-#3 instruct us how to love God. \u201cAnd God spoke all these words: <sup>2\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cI am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. <sup>3\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cYou shall have no other gods before Me. <sup>4\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cYou shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. <sup>5\u00a0<\/sup>You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me, <sup>6\u00a0<\/sup>but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments. <sup>7\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cYou shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. Commandment #4 instructs us how to be loved by God. Sabbath is pre-scheduled downtime. God loves us back to life by healing our insecurities so we can rest in His love; i.e., curative\u2014always stay open to remain whole. <sup>8\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cRemember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. <sup>9\u00a0<\/sup>Six days you shall labor and do all your work, <sup>10\u00a0<\/sup>but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. <sup>11\u00a0<\/sup>For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Commandments #5-#10 instruct us how God\u2019s love streams through us to others. We will always seek their highest good by choice, even if our feelings don\u2019t want to agree. <sup>12\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cHonor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. <sup>13\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cYou shall not murder. <sup>14\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cYou shall not commit adultery. <sup>15\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cYou shall not steal. <sup>16\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cYou shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. <sup>17\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cYou shall not covet your neighbor\u2019s house.
