GOD IDENTIFIES HIS PARTNERS IN CREATION

God’s Spirit and Word always agree with Him. God’s paradigm is seen when Jesus Christ was born through Mary. “Then the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you [like a shining cloud]; and so the holy (pure, sinless) Thing (Offspring) which shall be born of you will be called the Son of God. And listen! Your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is now the sixth month with her who was called barren. For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment. Then Mary said, Behold, I am the handmaiden of the Lord; let it be done to me according to what you have said. And the angel left her,” Luke 1:35-38 (AMPC). That same reproductive pattern accompanies each born again experience when you agree with God. “May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love an  founded securely on love, that you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!” Eph. 3:17-19 (AMPC).

REFUSE TO FORGET WHAT YOU ALREADY KNOW IS INDISPUTABLE

You can read about all the extraordinary miracles throughout Elijah’s ministry. He remained a present and active force in the hand of God serving as His voice in the earth. The Lord was totally honored through each assignment Elijah had undertaken. However, the day Elijah went AWOL, i.e., absence without leave, interfered with God holding that same advantage as 1 Kings 17th chapter details. Unfortunately, the presence of the mind of Christ he once relished diminished to absent-mindedness. Elijah felt so hopeless he only received partial rescue from the angel. He thought it was impossible to realign himself with the totally recovery efforts the Lord set before him. Although Elijah received just one meal that supplied supernatural energy to travel for forty days without feeling fatigue or famished, he shut-down his heart from believing God’s inner-strengthening message that was necessary to complete his destiny. God was so intent on Elijah’s resuscitation that He patiently gave him undisputable evidence of both His presence and His power. First, it was the compelling voice of an earthquake so he could hear it. Secondly, it was the wind so he could feel it. And thirdly, it was the fire so he could see it. Although God reassessed Elijah’s VAK learning style to reconnect with His small, still voice, he remained unresponsive. Without the presence of God’s preferred method of communicating His directions to him, all subsequent up-to-the-minute divine instructions would remain in danger of being left unnoticed. Lying vanities from satan penetrated and overthrew the absolute truth that the prophet Elijah was once convinced of about God. Elijah’s fear led to believe he was the only prophet left. Steeped in his unbelief, he would not accept God’s redefining message that He had seven thousand more prophets in reserve. Staying confounded closed the door to Elijah’s heart from being supernaturally revived. Therefore, Jezebel’s threat to kill Elijah became greater than God’s love, power, and wisdom to preserve his life. Therefore, he had to resign his assignment prematurely. Elijah lost the intimacy he once enjoyed with God. In his desperation, it looked like he never had a close-knit relationship with the Lord at all. That choice banned God from dissolving all Elijah’s doubts with the Word He exported. No matter how many signs and wonders God manifested, Elijah refused to be comforted by any of them. The Word of God is the incorruptible seed. Its dna is empowered to function perfectly every time when we give it breathing room. Refuse to barricade your heart from receiving the Word. Without choosing the Word of God as your salvation, you lose its power to inspire and to influence your total life.

RESERVE YOURSELF AS GOD’S RESTING PLACE

Holy Spirit rested on Jesus permanently. “Then John told about seeing the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove descending from heaven and resting upon Jesus. “I didn’t know He was the one,” John said again, “but at the time God sent me to baptize He told me, ‘When you see the Holy Spirit descending and resting upon Someone—He is the One you are looking for. He is the One who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ I saw it happen to this Man, and I therefore testify that He is the Son of God,” John 1:32-34 (TLB). Jesus hosted God’s Wisdom: “And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; And shall make Him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: And righteousness shall be the girdle of His loins, and faithfulness the girdle of His reins. And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and His rest shall be glorious,” Isaiah 11:1-5, 10 (KJV). Jesus hosted God’s Love: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law,” Gal. 5:22-23 (KJV). Jesus hosted God’s Power: “ But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will,” 1 Cor. 12:4-11 (KJV). God made advance reservations for you, will you make room for Him perpetually?

GOD JOINED JESUS’ ATONEMENT AS US WITH OUR SABBATH REST

God’s ruling: “For on this day, atonement will be made for you to purify you; you will be clean before Adonai from all your sins. It is a Shabbat of complete rest for you, and you are to deny yourselves. This is a permanent regulation,” Lev. 16:30-31 (CJB). Jesus’ resolve: “Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement,” Rom. 5:9-11 (KJV). Our reunion: “The very stone the masons rejected as flawed has turned out to be the most important capstone of the arch, holding up the very house of God. The Lord Himself is the One who has done this, and it’s so amazing, so marvelous to see! This is the very day of the Lord that brings gladness and joy, filling our hearts with glee. O God, please come and save us again; bring us your breakthrough-victory! Blessed is this one who comes to us, the sent one of the Lord. And from within the temple we cry, We bless you!” Ps. 118:22-26 (TPT). Holy Spirit realized: “Now if Joshua had been able to lead those who followed him into God’s rest, would God then have spoken this way? There still remains a place of rest, a true Sabbath, for the people of God because those who enter into salvation’s rest lay down their labors in the same way that God entered into a Sabbath rest from His,” Heb. 4:8-10 (VOICE). Naomi’s farewell to Ruth was to find rest; then she agreed to seek rest for Ruth after her covenant was made. When Ruth proposed to Boaz, Naomi told her to sit still, i.e., rest silently knowing he would not rest until he finished his work that day. Jesus’ work is finished; He works when you rest in His rest, not yours. Selah!

JESUS CHRIST THE PERFECT REPRESENTATION OF THE GLORY OF GOD

In John 17:1, 4-5 (KJV), Jesus appealed to Abba Father to reoccupy the glory He had in heaven as His only begotten Son. Born on earth as the Son of man, Jesus gave up His glory to be the Savior of the world; holding that advantage, Abba repopulated His family with all the sons and daughters He always desired. “These words spake Jesus, and lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify Thy Son, that Thy Son also may glorify Thee: I have glorified Thee on the earth: I have finished the work which Thou gavest Me to do. And now, O Father, glorify Thou Me with Thine own self with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was.” Hebrews 1:1-4 (AMPC) views Jesus in receipt of God’s glory, the fullness of being resident. “In many separate revelations [each of which set forth a portion of the Truth] and in different ways God spoke of old to [our] forefathers in and by the prophets, [But] in the last of these days He has spoken to us in [the person of a] Son, Whom He appointed Heir and lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time [He made, produced, built, operated, and arranged them in order]. He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high, [Taking a place and rank by which] He Himself became as much superior to angels as the glorious Name (title) which He has inherited is different from and more excellent than theirs.” Phil. 2:5-11 (KJV) is our pattern to do the works of God, even greater works through Jesus’ finished works. “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

UTMOST COUNSELOR, HELPER, ADVOCATE, STRENGTHENER, STANDBY

Although complexities may persist, focus your attention on Holy Spirit. Yield to the ever-present Comforter. “Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side,” Psalm 71:21(KJV). Your comeback is so extensive it is empowered to deliver others out of affliction with you. “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God,” 2 Cor. 1:3-4 (KJV). Laugh along with God like you are anxious for nothing: “Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: For He maketh sore, and bindeth up: He woundeth, and His hands make whole. He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. In famine He shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee. And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin. Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth. Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season. Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good,” Job 5:17-27 (KJV). Watch God answer you in the joy of His heart.

June 2020 Voice of Triumph enewsletter

RECALCULATE THE TOTAL SO YOU COUNT JUST LIKE GOD

Look closely at the two natural calculations: 1×1=1 and 1+1=2. Although multiplication gives an impression of always being greater, addition is more expansive arithmetically. That also holds true in the spiritual realm: 1 can put 1,000 to flight, but 2 can put 10,000 to flight. The ultimate expression of multiplication began by adding one plus one. The result of God’s power behind just one: “Hearken to Me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek Jehovah: look unto the rock whence ye were hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye were digged. Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you; for when he was but one I called him  and I blessed him, and made him many. For Jehovah hath comforted Zion; He hath comforted all her waste places, and hath made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Jehovah; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody,” Isaiah 51:1-3 (ASV). “The  Lord your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude (The Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as He hath promised you!),” Deuteronomy 1:10-11 (KJV). “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time,” Isaiah 60:22 (KJV). This is God’s expression upon your impression: “Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase,” Job 8:7 (KJV). God generates an incalculable outgrowth that surpasses each generation.

May 2020 Voice of Triumph enewsletter

TRANSPARENCY: STAY ABREAST OF YOUR STILLNESS AND QUIETNESS

The following examples in the Old Testament are four women whose story help us to more transparent about our own quietness and stillness. First, Eve who was misled by satan never exhibited quietness or stillness in Genesis 3rd chapter. She was drawn in by the lust of the eyes—the forbidden fruit looked appealing. She was allured by the lust of the flesh—she craved to taste the forbidden fruit. She was seduced by the pride of life—she coveted the forbidden fruit that only gave her the wisdom of the world. Everything Eve desired more than anyone and anything else, God had already given them. Adam and Eve already had 100% of God, all that He is and all that He has. Because she believed the lie she told herself was the absolute truth, they lost their inheritance. Secondly, the Shunammite woman was quiet yet not still in 2 Kings 4th chapter. After her son died, she remained extremely careful to watch every word proceeding from her mouth. That was her assurance, she nor anyone else could bury what she only planted for a brief time. What she believed leaped from just expectantly hoping to receive to deliberate faith in action for the miracle she refused to live without. Her confession transitioned from “It shall be well” to “It is well” in anticipation of receiving her son back to life again. The word “well” is translated in Hebrew is shalom, i.e., “peace.” That proved her quietness. However, she did not just sit still, which was the most appropriate response. She transported his lifeless body to the room built for Prophet Elisha. Even though her husband questioned her, she never revealed the reason for her visit to the prophet. She saddled her own donkey and told her servant to drive the beast high-speed. A donkey is most comfortable traveling between 8-9 mph, but she raced him at an inconceivable speed of 40 mph. Even after Elisha gave his servant Gehazi his staff to lay it on the boy, he remained dead. After the Shunammite woman vowed she would not leave Prophet Elisha’s side, he accompanied her and raised her son from premature death. Thirdly, Sarah was still but not quiet in Genesis 18th chapter. Abraham received the Lord and His messengers, who confirmed Isaac’s birth. Now decades later, Abraham was almost a hundred and Sarah ninety years old. After hearing the Word of the Lord this time around, Sarah laughed in her heart. She no longer believed that even God could supernaturally reproduce through Abraham’s seed and her womb. Since the Lord always looks at the heart, He confronted the situation to dissolve all doubts because He needed to find faith in her heart when He arrived with the delivery. The Lord inquired of Abraham the reason why Sarah laughed because she mocked His Word. She then lied to protect herself of being exposed as an unbeliever. However, it challenged her to receive the impossible as confirmed by the Lord Himself. In the end, Isaac was born at the set time the Lord pronounced that day. Fourth, Hannah was neither still nor quiet from the onset in 1 Samuel 1st chapter. By the close of her story, she exhibited both stillness and quietness. Hannah was barren so her husband Elkanah married Peninnah who was quite fertile. Being barren was sorrowful enough without Peninnah adding to Hannah’s pain by provoking her. Because Elkanah had no reference for Hannah’s misery, he further upset this overwhelming situation by his arrogance. By faith, Hannah made a conscious decision to move past her pain by dedicating her firstborn to God before she ever conceived him. Her heart was so frayed that even the priest thought she was intoxicated until she confirmed she had not been drinking. Even then she never voiced her petition aloud to him. Verse 18 shows he agrees with her. “Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace [shalom]: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of Him.” After returning home, the Lord opened her womb and Samuel was born. Just as Hannah vowed to the Lord, she brought Samuel to Eli to live before the Lord once he was weaned. In his stead, Hannah birthed three sons and two daughters. The conclusion of her story demonstrated both quietness and stillness. May you find real rest in Abba Father’s arms.

April 2020 Voice of Triumph enewsletter

THIS ONE DAY CHANGED EVERY OTHER DAY, EVEN ALL 366 DAYS IN 2020

The Rejection of Jesus opened the portals of the Kingdom of God to usher in the Body of Christ into the new and living way: “The stone rejected by the builders has now become the capstone of the arch! This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous to see! This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. O Lord, please help us. Save us. Give us success,” Psalm 118:22-25 (TLB). Your acceptance in the Beloved Jesus was prearranged: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved. In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace,” Ephesians 1:3-7(KJV). God prophesied Jesus would bring stability into our lives: “Therefore the Lord God said: “Look, I have laid a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will be unshakable,” Isaiah 28:16 (HCSB). This one day is the Day of Atonement.

March 2020 Voice of Triumph enewsletter

FAVOR FOR SUPERNATURAL GROUND-BREAKING RESULTS, NOT LABOR

Jesus declared My Father in Me does the miraculous; He referenced the grace of God. Holy Spirit hosts the Almighty’s presence and power so the fullness of His grace profusely abounds toward you raising every barrier in front of you that’s only intent is to impede you moving forward. 2 Cor. 12:9 (KJV) “And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” Grace makes labor, favor. Zerubbabel’s work was hindered until he received a prophecy in Zec. 4:6-9 (KJV) “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.” Allow Jesus Christ, the Author and the Finisher of your faith to put finishing touches on all the work of your hands. It is the finished work on Calvary awaiting delivery. “I pray with great faith for you, because I’m fully convinced that the One who began this glorious work in you will faithfully continue the process of maturing you and will put His finishing touches to it until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ,” Phil. 1:6 (TPT).
