What God gives to us is classified as a delicacy. Something that is very rare. Jesus is the Bread of Life and the Holy Spirit is the Living Water. Jesus is our communion with God. “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who puts his trust in Him,” Psalm 34:8.

I can imagine Ruth coming to the Lord’s table saying, “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee; my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is: to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

“Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips,” Psalm 63:1-5.

After Ruth communed with Boaz she left the table fully and completely satisfied. Daily communion with the Lord will prosper your soul to receive the greater harvest. He desires to give you daily bread, which is everything you need from day to day. Bending to His directions gives us the desires of our heart. The power that works within us — God’s love — prepares us to receive all that He has for us — "above all that we can ask or think."  (to be continued)
