God has already prepared the way of escape for you always to come out ahead. Now God outfits you to be also known by the enemy. The Lord is triumphant when you enforce your power and authority to gain full recognition and acceptance at the gates of hell. Ephesians 3:9-12 says, “And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ. To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God. According to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord. In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him.”
Acts 19:11-16 recounts the story of the seven sons of Sceva who mimicked having the power and authority of Jesus without personally knowing Him. Verse 15 says, “And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are ye?” The evil spirit did not recognize the authority the brothers were using, so he leaped on, wounded, and stripped them naked. In other words, they didn’t know how to reign or fight, so they were defeated by the enemy. The devil knows perpetrators, so you can’t act presumptuous.
Both Greek words for “know” in the above scripture references have completely different meanings. The one word “know”, referring to Paul, shows the evil spirit understood and comprehended his command. Because the evil spirit was well acquainted with Paul, he was subject to his royal authority to be cast out. On the other hand, the word “know”, referring to Jesus, reveals the evil spirit was convinced of Jesus and was sure he had to be subject to Him. The evil spirit experienced and interacted with Jesus, so was resolved that He had final authority to cast him out permanently.
The substance of the Word of God makes you a piece of the Rock, so you can mirror Jesus Christ. Because you are made of the same material when you use the infallible authority of the Word of God, you can get the same results Jesus received during His earthly ministry. That’s why you need to stay connected by being hidden in Christ at all times. You will then give no place of power or authority to the devil when you use the Sword of the Spirit as your persuader.
Be absolutely convinced that all sovereign power and authority rest with Jesus. This authority was bestowed upon you legally as His chosen representative. It was sanctioned by Jesus Christ who has no plans to change, alter, or reverse His decision. Become rooted, grounded, settled, immovable, unshakable in Jesus alone. Only in Christ can you receive supernatural results. As you realize and exercise your authority in Christ, you will progressively become more resolved with Jesus as Lord in your life. The devil will then be resolved with you because he will experience Jesus reigning through you. satan will flee from you in fear because you are operating under the authority of the anointing that removes burdens, destroys yokes, and brings about divine order, balance, and wholeness.
However, there is preparation time if we are going to reign as Jesus purposed in the earth. This time matures you into the image of Jesus Christ. To exercise your authority as Jesus' representative, seek to know God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit more than you know anything or anyone else. Know the enemy as well as you know yourself.
In preparation for his coronation, King David led and fed sheep while he waited for his promotion. In preparation for her coronation, Queen Esther humbled herself to hear and obey the instructions of one who knew the king better. In preparation for his promotion to the second highest commander in a foreign kingdom, Joseph remembered the dream God ordained for him and never gave up his integrity, although he was falsely accused and thrown in jail. To successfully lead the children of Israel as royalty, Moses spent his initial preparation time in the palace. To be the King of kings, Jesus prepared 30 years for a 3-year ministry, that’s a ratio of 10:1. Jesus was cut off, so He could live out the rest of His life in you. What common denominator did they all have? They believed God. They had personal knowledge of God. They all used their royal authority to promote righteousness.
Preparation time begins when you agree to make room in your heart to receive the Royal Seed. Because the main objective of royal authority is to rule the earth as God rules, the Royal Seed takes root within your heart, so you will not bring a reproach upon the Lord. No one can stop how fast you develop and mature as a king.
Wherever your preparation time may be, know Jesus in the power of His resurrection. Know Him by His suffering, by sharing His sacrifice. Know Him by His Spirit, not by your own power, nor might. Be still and know that He is God. Daniel 11:32 reveals the accomplishments of the ones who have definitive knowledge of God. “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall be corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits [great things, heroic acts].”
