To Know as You are Known
“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified; and whom he justified: them he also glorified.”
Romans 8:29-30
You are fearfully and wonderfully made from the inside out; crowned with God’s own glory and honor. Familiarize yourself with who God is and all His ways, then you will better understand your significance to the kingdom of God. This will greatly impact your level of personal security in Christ. The stability of your self-image and the viability of your self-worth are deeply rooted in self-exploration under the gentle microscope of the Holy Spirit. You will see Jesus as He is. Then you can be sure that as He is so are you in this world. I John 5:20 bears record of the intimacy the Lord desires us to have with Him. “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true; and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
Conforming into the image of Jesus simply means your life is synchronized with heaven's standards. In this state, all differences have been identified one by one and then targeted for removal and restoration. First, know what's on the Lord's mind through your intimacy with Him through the Word. Then, receive the wonderful things that are in the Lord's heart that He has prepared for you. As you become well acquainted with His voice, follow His footsteps one step at a time to enlarge your territory. That's how you will be as Jesus is in this world.
God knows you more intimately than you know yourself. He is familiar with your heart, spirit, soul, and body. The following scriptures detail His level of awareness. Jeremiah 1:5- “Before I formed thee in the womb, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Proverbs 20:27- “The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” I Samuel 16:7- “...for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” Ps 94:11- “The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.” Matthew 10:30- “But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” Psalm 56:8- “Thou numberest my wanderings: put Thou my tears into Thy bottle. Are they not in Thy book?” John 10:3- “...and He calleth His own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.”
The enemy of your soul can’t possibly know you that well; satan is only privileged to the intelligence you share with him. Unbeknown to you, he views you as a suicidal informant when you spew out words of unbelief. As a spy, satan then uses your personal testimony as a means to try to rend, tear, eventually devour you until you are totally powerless against him. to be continued...
