Keys of the Kingdom

 

”Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud

upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,

and a two-edged sword in their hand: To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

to execute upon them the judgment written:

this honor have all His saints. Praise ye the Lord.”

Psalm 149:5-9

 

Before ascending to heaven, Jesus conferred His power and authority to His disciples. The Lord's presence shall be in you and with you wherever you go through the awesome power of the Holy Spirit. Although unseen, there will be never any spiritual deficiency nor neglect of duty. Mark 16:15-20 catalogs the assignment that is to be continued in His physical absence. "Afterward He [Jesus] appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen Him after He was risen. And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, an they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, He was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following." The aforementioned commandment to receive this royal authority includes you. There will be indisputable evidence of enthroning Jesus Christ as Lord in the earth because miracles are destined to shadow you.

            According to the chain of command in the earth, you are next in line. You have been appointed Christ’s ambassador to carry the same anointing. Matthew 16:19 reassures you that the gates of hell can not prevail against your authority. Jesus said, “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shalt be loosed in heaven.”

            Jesus bequeathed the keys of the laceType w:st="on">kingdomlaceType> of laceName w:st="on">GodlaceName> to you to approve all things that are excellent. You operate similar to a law enforcement agency. You have been sworn in to keep the order, bring about balance and wholeness. You have free access and authority into His kingdom, in which you have been spiritually born. With these keys, you officially mandate things unlawful and incorrect or lawful and correct. The power and authority to approve and reject are in your hands. The power and authority to lock and unlock are in your hands. The power and authority to stop and free are in your hands. The power and authority to arrest and release are in your hands.

            That’s royal authority when you are confident that the port of entry to your heart, home, workplace, community, city, government, and nation is in your hands. Nothing can seep in or pour out without your consent. Once you are convinced you have the keys, you will then act according to God's will to use your authority. The result: you won't just wait for or watch things happen, instead you will make things happen all the time.

            The first time you engage your keys, the devil may struggle with you to the point that you begin to believe that they won’t work for you. Don’t allow him to bluff you. In actuality, satan believes exactly the way God wants you to believe. That's why he uses lies, error, and deception to try to disengage the keys. satan knows they work and if you use them against him, he will be defeated every time. Go back until you recover all. The keys of the kingdom are a present, active force in the life of the one who is crowned with God's own glory and honor.

            A comparable scripture in Isaiah 51st chapter refers to believers as the arm of the Lord, an extension of God's hand. This establishes the unity of the Spirit you continue to operate in to accomplish the assignment given to the ruling righteous.

            The arm carries the hand to its assignment. If the arm won’t move, the hand will be paralyzed. Don’t stop the hand of God in the earth. The Scripture confirms the Lord opens His hand and satisfies the desire of every living thing. So take those keys out of your pocket. Bend and flex your spiritual muscles. Daily exercise the keys of the kingdom to restore the order, balance, and wholeness in the earth with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

            To approve all things that are excellent, the meekness of wisdom is present and functioning. It endorses righteous judgment, justice, and equity. Ask God for His wisdom and expect to receive it. "The wisdom that is from above is first pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace" as James 3:17-18 resounds.
