The previous bible verses refer to current events, so they are not futuristic as some may suppose. Now is the time! The mystery of this revelation is having complete understanding of how to apply the truth discovered in exercising your royal authority. Reigning is a function you are called to perfectly practice until Jesus returns for the Church. You hold that seat of honor right now. Wherever there is honor, there is also royal authority granted with it.
At the time you are born again, you are also resuscitated and fully restored as God's glory and honor in the earth. In the heavenlies, every believer has this God-recognized authority. Ephesians 2:6-7 confirms your promotion. “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” The word “raised” in the aforementioned verse testifies that we were revived spiritually to resemble Jesus in power and authority. You now sit at the right hand of Jesus. As you may recall, the party seated on the right holds the position of power and authority.
Since Jesus is no longer physically in the earth, you have been delegated with His responsibility, not just preachers, but every believer. No matter if you are drinking milk or eating meat. Hebrews 1:13 recognizes the feet on the body of Christ are accountable to maintain the victory Jesus established in the earth. “But to which of the angels said He at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?” The answer is none of them. In Christ, darkness is under the feet of those who are shod with the gospel of peace. Keep the enemy under your feet so you'll always be triumphant in every situation.
The art of delegation is to assign responsibility and accountability to the best qualified party at the most subordinate level available to free upper management to accomplish other tasks the subordinate may not have the skill to perform. This allows the potential in all parties to be fully reached.
For this purpose, God commissioned more than enough angels to attend to all mankind. However, only heirs of salvation can command them because faith in God is required to bring the heavenly hosts into mobilization. Not only are the angels present, but you have the authority of the King of kings to assign them functions whenever you need their help. Angelic beings remain at attention, but they are readily available for you to delegate work daily or hourly. Down to the minutes and seconds. Moment by moment.
Not even the angels have the kind of influence you have been delegated. Psalm 8:4,6 shows the angels' curiosity when God created Adam. They asked God, "What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that Thou visitest him? Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of Thy hands: Thou hast put all things under his feet:" Angels were created to serve you, not rule over you. So it is not really a compliment when someone says you are an angel. In spiritual terms, that’s actually a demotion.
Hebrews 1:14 further clarifies an angel’s relationship to the sons of God. “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” In the Greek language, the words ministering and minister demonstrate an angel's function. “Ministering” is defined as a public servant. The word “minister” is defined as an attendant like a waiter to aid, serve, and bring relief.
Angels rely on your royal authority to speak the Word of God. They are voice-activated. Psalm 103:20-21 confirms this truth. “Bless the Lord, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His word. Bless ye the Lord, all ye His hosts; ye ministers of His, that do His pleasure.” If you do not delegate an assignment to your angels, they will not have anything to do. Neither will they side with the devil to bring about evil. Angels are disciplined to only respond to the Word of God.
The presence of the Lord makes His connection seamless in the one He indwells. You are privileged to have the mind of Christ, so you can live, move, and have your being in Him. This is synchronization at its finest. Without the authority of the anointing, believers lack both confidence and evidence in exercising their royal authority. Hebrews 3:14 shows your faith and patience image Jesus Christ. "For we are partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast uno the end." Don't ever relinquish working the power you have within.
Under the Old Covenant, only the prophet, priest, and king were anointed with God’s supernatural power to function. With the enactment of the New Covenant, Jesus extended an invitation to everyone to receive His anointing to effectively master their God-given inheritance. This power is readily available so Jesus can be the ruler in the earth through you and the glory of the Lord seen now.
Jesus' reign during His Second Coming will be visible to the naked eye. However, with Jesus living in us now, His rule will become more and more apparent to the world because signs and wonders will follow all who believe. Right now, believers are hidden in Christ. In other words, we learn to live so Jesus Christ has the preeminence in all things. This rule we assume by faith, so we can expect full manifestation of God’s glory in the earth. Although Jesus is now unseen physically in the earth, His invisible reign through you will restore the fame of the Lord here and now. No one will be able to deny His power. The awesome presence of the Lord will permanently establish His residence through you. He then can work unhindered because He has discovered a heart that follows hard after Him, just like a deer that pants after the water to satisfy his thirst. He has discovered a heart He can safely trust. There will be a noticeable difference in your life as you enlarge your territory for the kingdom of God. We shall see what we believe when we use our keys.
