Crowned with Glory and Honor
“Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord,
and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.”
Isaiah 62:3
From the very beginning, mankind was created in the image and likeness of God. Although part dust of the earth and part water, God breathed His very life in Adam. Mankind has always been a priceless asset to the kingdom of God. 2 Corinthians 4:6-7 confirms your increased value when you invite Jesus Christ into your life as Lord. "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us."
It is the glory of God that makes you a masterpiece, so you are not a mud pie. You are a first quality, finished work of God. Hebrews 2:7-8 records your majestic honor, so it's not an inflated opinion of self or someone else's flattery. “Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; Thou crownedst him with glory and honor, and didst set him over the work of Thy hands: Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.”
The word “angels” in the aforementioned verse is originally translated as Elohim in Hebrew. Elohim is one of God's names which is interpreted as the Creator of all things. In actuality, we have been made a little lower than the Most High God with power and authority to carve out the unseen resolution that's in the heart of God so that we will always be ready for any impossibility.
Being born of the Holy Spirit makes you as a legally adopted child of God, so now you are a part of the family of God. Although we are all adopted, the Spirit of God has the capacity to conform us into the express image of Jesus Christ, who is an express image of our Heavenly Father. Proverbs 17:6 shows you are God's architectural design. "...and the glory of children are their fathers." Romans 8:14-17 verifies that when you keep in step with the Holy Spirit you are not just a child, but are recognized as a mature son by the Father. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer [resist and outlast trouble for righteousness' sake] with Him, that we may be also glorified together.” By legal adoption, God, the King of kings, is your Heavenly Father which makes Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, the first born among many brethren. Your big brother. Since Jesus is the Prince of Peace and your big brother, you are also a prince.
Don't get hung up on gender or any other distinguishing physical characteristic. According to the kingdom of God established laws, the Lord will never discriminate against any of His children. Galatians 3:26-29 verifies God's gracious heart which ensures there is ample room for everyone. "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek; there is neither bond or free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
Furthermore, you have become an heir to the throne now because of the blood covenant. As a joint heir with Jesus Christ, you share equal power and authority in this inheritance. John 1:12-13 confirms this. “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
