On the Right Hand
of the Majesty On High
“...All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
Matthew 28:18
After Jesus Christ fulfilled His earthly ministry, God received up to heaven. Jesus now sits at the right hand of the Heavenly Father. Colossians 3:1 authenticates Jesus Christ physical whereabouts. “If ye, then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.” In kingdom business the place on the right of the throne is the seat of honor. Royal authority has also been granted with this honorable seating.
In the kingdom of God, the name of Jesus is fully recognized and accepted as the powers that be. The Word proves His circle of influence. “...God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the Father,” Phillipians 2:9-11.
Jesus took up His cross to wear the crown. His death, burial and resurrection conferred the righteous scepter to Him. God gave Jesus His own honor because of His great sacrifice. Hebrews 1:8 validates that God promoted Jesus. So you see that Jesus did not exalt himself. “But unto the Son, He saith, Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom. Thou loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God thy God hath anointed thee with oil of gladness above thy fellows.” With this scepter, Jesus possesses the authority to adjoin a person, place, or thing or remove them from His presence in order to make things right. Jesus never abuses His authority by “lording it over you” or using fear to force you into compliance. You will always find His reign to be fair and equitable and His leadership gentle and easily to be respected.
In the kingdom of God, Jesus is the Prince of Peace. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder [shouldering the responsibility]; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace [with the authority of the King of kings]. Of the increase of His government and peace shall be no end [enlarging His territory], upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this,” Isiash 9:6-7.
In the kingdom of God, Jesus is highly honored and empowered. “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light; who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son: in whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins: who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
“For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: and He is before all things and by Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence,” Colossians 1:12-20.
In the kingdom of God, Jesus reigns triumphantly. “For He must reign till He hath put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For He hath put all things under His feet...," I Corinthians 15:25-27. The body of Christ has the feet only when we have the mind of Christ. We have the necks of our enemies. The devil must give up all that he has stolen: 1-identity; 2-territory; 3-relationships; 4-souls; 5-health; 6-finances; 7-inheritance; 8-time; 9-possessions; and 10-life.
In the kingdom of God, Jesus has resurrection power. John 10:18 “No man taketh it [life] from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have the power to lay it down, and I have the power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.” Nothing could keep Him from dying or rising again. Resurrection power showed Jesus' freedom from others' scorn and manipulation because His source was God and God alone. He didn't need anyone else's endorsement to receive what God had given Him.
In the kingdom of God, Jesus holds the keys of death and hell. “I am He that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen, and have the keys of hell and of death,” Revelation 1:18. Hell was made for the devil and his demons. Hell is a choice that man makes for himself. God doesn't want anyone to perish, but for all to come to repentance and receive salvation.
In the kingdom of God, Jesus has the authority of judgment. The following scriptures establish these truths. John 5:22 states, “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son.” St. John 5:27 declares this, “And hath given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of man.” St. John 12:31-32 confirms this truth. “Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”
