The Only Potentate

“Where the word of the king is, there is power

and who may say unto him, What doest thou?”

Ecclesiastes 8:4

You glorify God when you acknowledge Him in all your ways as the only Potentate, the King of kings and the Lord of lords. That’s when you empower Him to give you all that’s His alone to give. You further honor God by humbly submitting each area of your life to Him so He can be King of your heart. That stances enforces the blood covenant to fully work on your behalf.

Psalm 115:16 establishes the span of God’s control as well as yours. “The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath He given to the children of men.” Yes, God can be all that He is only when you pass Him the scepter that is rightfully yours in the earth and follow His lead. Yes, God can reign sovereignly, eternally, equitably, perfectly, and with integrity when you enthrone Him in your life. God won’t micro-manage or usurp your authority because He will never break even one of His own laws.

So you see, being the only potentate in the earth is God’s declared goal to be accomplished. Heaven is within God’s span of control and it is run perfectly. However, God’s potential in the earth cannot be fully achieved until you perceive you have been crowned king and completely synchronize your royal authority through Him. Give the Lord full admission to work and allow His Word to have free course and be glorified in the earth. The authority you withhold from God will allow the devil to dictate any area he is not bound from running interference. God desires unrestrained access to work through you. When you open up the gateway for God to enter, you will see His promised great, glorious, honorable, remembered, powerful, truthful, and faithful works manifest suddenly.

God is sovereign. "The Lord hath prepared His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all," Psalm 103:19. God will not and cannot be voted out by any opponent because He is invincible. God cannot be impeached; nor can anyone lay any charge to Him. Even if someone could bring accusations against God, tell me then, who is big and bad enough to attempt to dethrone Him? All I have to say is, remember Lucifer’s past and future and then you will understand that’s an impossible present feat.

God will reign for all eternity. “I know that whatsoever God doeth, it shall be forever; nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before Him,” Ecclesiates 3:14. God is from everlasting to everlasting. He is the Ancient of days. He is the Alpha and Omega; the first and the last; the beginning and the end. There are no term limits on God’s position.

God cannot be bribed or influenced by evil. “Clouds and darkness are round about Him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of His throne,” Psalm 97:2. God willingly unveiled His platform to us, so He does not have a hidden agenda. Righteousness and judgment occupy God’s throne and they feel at home in His presence. Darkness is defeated by God, so it can’t taunt or taint His righteous judgment. Psalm 18:9 salutes God’s integrity. “He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under His feet” so it is subject to His royal authority.

God is fair although events in life may seem unfair. “...with righteousness shall He judge the people with equity. Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together before the Lord; He cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall He judge the world, and the people with equity,” Psalm 98:8-9. Whatever you deem unfair in your life, God wants to make it up to you. God will not give you a serpent or a stone, if you asked for some fish and bread. He knows the difference. God is not the enemy force against you who commits injustices.

God makes no mistakes. “A divine sentence is in the lips of a king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment. A just weight and balance are the Lord’s: all the weights of the bag are his work. It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness; for the throne is established by righteousness,” Proverbs 16:10-12. Similar to how satan accuses the brethren before God day and night, the enemy's motive is to bring just one accusation against God before the brethren.

The Bible often refers to God as the Most High. It also describes God’s righteousness as elevated as well. God is above reproach. “Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!,” Psalm 71:19.

Righteousness does as righteousness is. God submits to His own rules and will never once be charged as a lawbreaker. Let Psalm 9:4 be your sworn statement of God’s honesty, morality, accuracy, relevance, and timeliness. “For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.”

God only needs your personal invitation to be empowered in the earth, so all things in your life and your surrounding will be upright, not just changed, different, or just talked about as if they couldn’t be resolved.
