Power Legally Transferred

 

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness,

and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son:”

Colossians 1:12-13

 

Endeavor to completely understand the historical events behind legally transferred power so you can reach clarity about your role as the ruling righteous today. God originally ordained Adam and Eve as the rulers of this earth to exercise dominion over everything He created. God empowered them with indisputable influence with the following directives found in Genesis 1:28. “...Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” In other words, everything that swims, flies, and creeps (even the creep, satan) govern it all. In The Living Bible, Genesis 1:26 says, "to be master of all life upon the earth and in the skies and in the seas."

            God also gave them a command to “subdue”. The Scofield Reference Bible defines it as, “to acquire the skillful knowledge necessary to master the material environment to serve the races”. In other words, master your God-given inheritance, the earth and the fullness thereof, so the presence of God can prevail in everything.

            Realize the awesome power and authority Adam had before the fall. In the beginning, God made Adam in the image and likeness of Himself as the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God did not leave Adam powerless but made him more than a conqueror as the earth’s ruler with the backup of heaven.

            Just one act of disobedience caused Adam to overthrow the entire kingdom of God in the earth. Adam committed high treason, which is when a government is overthrown by one of its citizens. Adam knowingly rebelled against the kingdom of God ultimately overthrowing his own position and generations following as ruler of the earth as well as God’s opportunity to enthrone the earth. I Timothy 2:14 confirms this, “And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.”

            Adam’s infidelity drove him to worship satan, lawfully positioning the devil as ruler of the earth. Along with the legal transfer of authority went all the other rights and privileges of the earth to the god of this world system.

            The result of just one act of rebellion established the kingdom of this world along side the kingdom of God on earth. Because of this, there is now a choice of two gods to serve: the Almighty God or satan.

            God could have reacted by violating His own law to put things back in order. Instead, He chose to abide within His law to show satan He would win in the end, as well as, still have our freewill worship. The devil thought restoration was impossible but he was surprisingly mistaken because he was ignorant of God’s unseen plan of salvation.

            God reversed the curse of the law through Jesus Christ's sacrifice. We give thanks to God who always causes us to triumph through the blood of Jesus Christ. The devil was legally demoted and his kingdom, the world system, legally condemned when Jesus purchased our salvation on Calvary and restored all our rights and privileges. The Resurrection repositioned Jesus Christ and the Church as the earth’s ruler again.

            With just one awesome act of obedience, Jesus, appointed by God, restored the kingdom of God to its rightful state and returned to the rightful hands, you and me as rulers of the earth. The transfer has already been granted to us with the original commandment in Genesis 1:28. The earth is within your circle of influence.

            The power we now have is greater than what Adam had originally because Jesus enthrones our heart. When you develop confidence and boldness to master your territory, satan will think it's Jesus instead, because of the authority of the anointing that abides within you. Jesus rendered satan powerless and his authority has been totally surrendered. Believers now can reclaim territory for the kingdom of God so the power of God can been released in the earth. What will you do with the royal authority you have within?
